Div 3 A.C. League Cushendun Vs Glenarm

Nerves were running high for both teams as the ball was thrown in for Cushenduns first match of the divishion 3 league. Eoin McQuillan Broke the ice with a point in the 7th minute. Kevin Campbell equilised for Glenarm in the 8th min. Shane O'Connell then ran in and put one past the keeper in the 9th. Barry Hamill for Glenarm answered with a point in the 10th, to be follow by a point from Barry O'Hara in the 11th. things then began to settle a bit with Dominic McQuillan gettin a point in the 14th. Darren Hamill for Glenarm then scored a point in the 19th. Mark Scally then sent over a 70 yard free in the 22nd, and finally Bennie McDermot of Glenarm closed the scoring in the first half with a point in the 27th.

Half time score: Cushendun 1-4, Glenarm 0-4.

The second half saw Glenarm scoring 14 points with most of them coming from Darren Hamill. However on the Cushendun side Dominic McQuillan unleashed a barrage of scoring, after a failed attempt at goals in the first half he made up for it with a goal in the 5th min of the second half, closely followed by points in the 10th, 11th, 14th & 15th (From free). Oisin McMahon then put himself on the score sheet after he hit a Dambuster shot that bounced its way over the keepers stick and into the net. Cushendun seemed confident & got a little too relaxed, Barry Hamill of Glenarm scored a goal in the 24th minute to put Glenarm ahead.

Full time score: Cushendun 3-8, Glenarm 1-18.
