N.A Junior League - Cushendun Vs Carey

Cushenduns first junior match of the year against carey faughs went very well. Carey got an early point in the 2nd minute but was shortly equalised by me, scoring a point in the 3rd min. With brilliant play from the backs throughout the game Shane O'Connel scored a goal in the 14th min, shortly followed by a point from Mark Scally from a 70 in the 22nd. Soc got the last say in the first half with a point in the 26th min to leave the half time score, 1-3, 0-3 to Cushendun. Paddy McSparran suffering from head injury sustained in the first half opened the scoring in the second half with a point in the 7th min. Soc then landed a point from a free a minute later. Carey then scored a goal in the 15th, Geard laverty wasn't having any of this and decided to answer with a point a minute later in the 16th keen to make up the difference. Michael Magee who came on for me also eager to answer the goal, scored a point in the 23rd min, then Dominic McQuillan who came on for Willy Irwin scored a point from a 70 in the 25th min, Soc then closed the cushendun scoring with a point from free in the 28th min leaving us 3points ahead only to be pipped at the post when Carey scored a goal in the last minute resulting in a draw of 1-9 Cushendun, 2-6 Carey.
