U-10's record another victory

Congratulations once again to our U-10 panel who defeated  Owen Roe on saturday. In a game played in very windy conditions in Cushendun our players took the wind advantage after winning the toss and immediately went ahead. After dominating the first half, several positional switches were made in the second half to deal with the expected onslaught from owen roe. James Morgan held strong in goals and once again kept his full back line of David Kilgore.Leo Morgan and Harry Kilgore under control and made sure the Owen Roes were tightly marked. Conor Mc Hugh once again excelled in midfield and even after a nasty knock to the head was able to continue and play a starring role.He was ably backed up in the mid division by Jack Mc kay and Thomas Scally who found the net with a superb long range effort. Our forward line  of Aiden Dunne, Patsy Mc Auley and Michael Converykept the pressure on the  Owen Roe defence despite the windy conditions. This was a good victory and it was pleasing to note that we dealt well with the conditions played well as a unit.
we had thought that this may be the last game of the season however we have been granted a late entry to the Antrim/Down under 12 blitz on saturday10th October in Belfast. We will need all players available and a minibus will be collecting the team at the shop at 8.45 on Saturday morning. Hopefully we should get some pics of the Owen Roe game up on the site in the next few days.
Well done lads!
