Cushendun advance to the final of the Junior Hurling Championship after an impressive victory over Kickhams Creggan at a windswept Armoy. Despite the final score line, this was not a one sided game until the final quarter, when the spirited Creggan threw in the towel.

Creggan got off to the best possible start when they went 1-1 to no score within the first 5 minutes of the game. The goal came from a well worked team effort. Cushendun steadied the ship and lessons learnt from Wednesday night against Carey were evident when they didn't panic and continued to take their points. At half time Cushendun went in 3 points ahead, and having faced the hill and a slight breeze the older men of Cushendun were possibly thankful that they would have both in their favour come the second half.

The backs did very little wrong throughout and were well backed up by the midfield pairing.

The forwards were slow to get started and the wet conditions underfoot may have hampered the pace of some. However they found their range in the second half and two well executed goals towards the end ensured victory.

Cushendun still have room for improvement and will find the going tougher against Rasharkin in the final, a team they recently lost against in the League.
