Itís Con Magees Centenary Year in 2016 and I have been asked to putting together a chapter in the Centenary Book for the Juvenile Hurling 2004-2015. The idea is to have plenty of photos with names of those in the photos. If anyone in the Cushendun Club would have photos of the St Brendans matches in that period and also any photos of the U14 NA Feile Final or County Final in 2008 against St Johns in Dunloy. Also the U16 Final in Casement against the same opposition please can you let me know. If you could email me and let me know asap I will arrange a way of getting them on to a hard drive, thanks Damien McKeown Damien.mckeown@niwater.com
Hopefully someone can help Damien

Ive been to the first 4 senior matches and we could have easily have picked up 2 wins out of the 4, st Pauls and Armoy. Player need to show some bite and commitment to get points on the board and staying in this division.

Any chance we could get the fixtures and results page updated? North Antrim's website has been updated and maybe we should keep up with them.
You could even volunteer to do it.

Congratulations to our U8's who won their indoor hurling final match on Saturday.  Can't wait to read the report.
Thanks
On Saturday 21st February, a selection of our U8s travelled to Seven Towers in Ballymena to compete in the North Antrim Indoor Division 5 final. On a good training night we have 14 U8's at training, so we had to half the amount of kids to play and it was probably the hardest decision the coaches had to make. The team that travelled did an excellent job, they were always on top, scoring their goals either side of half time to secure a 2-0 victory over Ballycastle. We were the first team on and arrived a few minutes early to warm up. Once the hurls were sorted and energy drinks consumed, we headed into the arena for our final preparations. The nerves and excitement were visible on the faces of the coaches, the kids just wanted to have fun!
Niamh was rarely troubled in goals, and her puck outs were instrumental in ensuring quality balls were delivered to the forward line. Eva was teak tough in defence, her understanding of how to play in the full back position at such a young age is terrific. The industrious Liam and Donncha never stopped in midfield, and they moved the ball on quickly to super striker Paddy, who was exploiting the holes in the forward line. It was Paddys goal in the first half that eventually settled the nerves of the coaches.
Half time arrived in a flash, more energy drinks and jaffa cakes were taken on board before heading out for another nail biting 5 minutes of hurling. Donnchas strike from far out took a deflection on the way in and it was a 2nd goal for the U8's. Now it was time to get the rest of the team on for a taste of the action. Callum was the first to come on and he went into every challenge with full force, Keeley then came on to stampen her authority around the midfield area. Before we knew it, the final whistle had gone and our kids, who had no doubt at any stage, won the game. We had to wait untill all the other divisions completed their matches before Keeley received the shield.
The majority of this team are still eligible next year. And we also have the same level of talent available for a second team. Training continues in the hall at 6.00pm every friday night
